The kubus IT, subsidiary and IT service provider of AOK Bayern and AOK Plus, has chosen Arvato Systems in its search for a competent service provider for cloud and platform solutions as well as infrastructure services. "We are very pleased to be able to support our new customer with a modern and future-proof cloud strategy," emphasizes Klaus Fetzer, Managing Director for the health and public sectors at Arvato Systems.

The contract win strengthens Arvato Systems‘ position in the German healthcare sector and gives it a new, strategic anchor customer for the healthcare sector in kubus IT. In the coming years, Arvato Systems will work with kubus IT to advance the Digital Transformation for the approximately 17,000 AOK PLUS and AOK Bayern employees and make their everyday work more efficient.

For Arvato Systems, the contract is another important milestone as a partner for the Digital Transformation of the healthcare sector. Arvato Systems has been committed to the Digital Transformation of the healthcare sector for many years. For example, the company offers an immunization management platform for health authorities, supports the counterfeit protection of medicines with verification systems, is the operator of the telematics infrastructure for the electronic health card in Germany, and thus successfully demonstrates its expertise in the area of complex IT infrastructures in the healthcare sector.

Arvato Systems is now expanding this role as a competent partner for the healthcare sector with the order from kubus IT. The contract has a term of several years, during which Arvato Systems will support its new customer with IT solutions and services and provide strategic and advisory support. An important goal of the collaboration will be to expand the cloud capability of kubus IT to improve patient care ultimately.
